Announcing a New Way to Support Small Business

According to The Office of Advocacy and Small Business Data, small businesses comprise:

  • 99.9% of all firms
  • 99.7% of firms with paid employees
  • 97.5% of exporters (285,334)
  • 32.0% of known export value ($473 billion)
  • 47.1% of private sector employees (61 million)
  • 40.3% of private sector payroll

In addition, from 2000 to 2019, small businesses created 10.5 million net
new jobs. See the report

My point?

All of us need to support small business. And I’ve come up with a brand new way to do it.

Support Small Business By Making Sure You’re Fully Vaccinated!

Oh no. He’s going there.

Damn straight.

It’s time to adult.

Specifically, it’s time to completely ignore dishonest TV talk show hosts (and the libelous networks that keep them employed), meth-addled pillow peddlers, a former (vaccinated) President, wanna-be Presidents, and anyone who says that Covid vaccines shed the virus or other made-up non-scientific nonsense. And it needs to start today. Why?

Because listening to those self-absorbed, mean-spirited fakes has gotten us to where we are now.

Where’s that?

As of this writing (early August of 2021), the Covid-19 Delta Variant is filling up our hospital ICU’s with sick, mostly unvaccinated people.

Worse yet, almost 200 kids have been hospitalized with Covid. Kids!

Parents, can you imagine what it would be like seeing your young child in the ICU? How scared they would be? How scared you would be?

The things is, this didn’t need to happen.

And it needs to stop now.

That said, I’m not sure how I’m going to segue into how getting vaccinated will help support small business, but here goes…

You Can Support Small Business By Being Fully Vaccinated

I know what you’re thinking. Stay with me.

It’s just math.

Simply stated, if we, as a country, can go from the piss-poor rate of 50% fully vaccinated to 70–90% fully vaccinated, we have a pretty good shot (pun-intended) of ending the pandemic in its current form. That means a lot more people need to get vaccinated.

If we don’t get the fully-vaccinated rates up-and fast, we’re going to have a repeat of last winter. That means more small businesses will close their doors.

As I said, it’s just math.

But small business owners need to do their part too.

That means that small business owners need to require their employees to be fully-vaccinated to maintain their employment. Why?

Again, it’s just math.

More people vaccinated = More small businesses doing business.

I Need To Go “There” One More Time

I want you to think about the following.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been right about Covid-19, its spread, and how vaccines and masking are the way out of the pandemic, 90% of the time. That’s pretty darn good for a human.

Compare that with the prediction about Covid-19 from former President Trump on February 26, 2020:

You have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

That said, Trump wasn’t the only one downplaying the virus.

And now, 600,000+ deaths from Covid-19 later, there are still people who don’t think the virus is dangerous. And they aren’t getting vaccinated.

600,000 dead.

If you aren’t vaccinated, it’s time to do it (as long as you’re medically able).

Finally, I’m not a doctor.

But I’m not an idiot, either.

Help support small business.

Help support humanity.

P.S. If you liked this post, let me know by giving it some Claps!

Thank you!
