It’s a new day in America. And more.
As I watched the Inauguration of our 46th President, I was thinking how great it is that we (still) live in a democracy. That said, I hope you won’t be disappointed that this isn’t a political post.
Instead, it’s a post about you. About your future. About this being a new day for you. A new year.
A Question For You
What are you going to do with this new year.
Specifically, how are you going to write your story this year?
Story Choices
You have two choices when it comes to writing your story.
1. You can write your story much like you have in your previous years, in the “Let’s just see what happens” style.
2. You can write your story in the “I’m going to take the bull by its horns” style. You know what that means though.
- It means you’ll need to take some risks.
- It means getting out of your comfort zone.
- It means you’ll need to look at things in a different light.
What Will It Look Like?
If you take the bull by the horns this year…
It could mean a new job for you…maybe even one within the company.
It may mean exploring a new career. Maybe one you’ve always been interested in pursuing.
Or
Maybe you really go for it-and look into starting a bsiness. That’s something I predict a lot of people are going to be doing this year. Especially if the stock market continues to do well. Why is that?
Because people will have access to the money they’ve been making the past couple of years.
One way to start a business?
You could buy a job. How?
But what if you don’t want to buy a job?
Real Franchise Opportunities
One way to take the bull by the horns?
Buy a franchise that can (hopefully) create equity.
Good News!
There are a lot of good choices in franchising.
But instead of mentioning a specific franchise that may get you where you want to go, I’m going to mention a segment in franchising that offers a lot of potential.
That segment is food-service. And there are a few trends taking place-some of them because of the pandemic and some of them because they just are.
If you’d like to find out what today’s trends in food-service are, and see which franchises are leveraging those trends, my strategic partner, Franchise Direct, has put together an eye-opening report on food franchises.

Could this be your year?
